Daughters are so political

I was searching and searching for timely article to post on the blog, and I finally found a lighthearted note about President Obama giving some guff to French President Nicolas Sarkozy. It seems the French President recently welcomed a baby daughter…at the age of 56.  Look, some guys still got it at that age.

I'm assuming that's the kid

President Obama threw out the usual joke about the child having the mother’s looks, but then throws out and awesome quote: “Now we share one of the greatest challenges and blessings of life, and that is being fathers to our daughters,” Obama said.  Regardless of your political affiliations, you’ve got to agree with that quote.

Come on...at least he's taking the time....

I just think that’s cool.  We’re all from different backgrounds, education levels, ethnicities, and interests.  But our girls bond us together.  It is a challenge.  It is a blessing.  It’s awesome that even when you’re the leader of the free world and you’ve probably seen more beauty, chaos, and overall incredible sights in your life, and you still see having a daughter as one of the top.

I don’t know if that gets him re-elected, but it’d get me to say to him, “Thanks for being a dad….”
